About Me

I hold a degree in Language and Literature from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (2011), a Master's in Language Policy from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2021), and I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Linguistics at the Federal University of Santa Catarina.

As a scientific initiation scholarship holder (CNPq, 2004-2006), I conducted research in the field of Literature, memory, and history. My master's dissertation investigates how the phenomenon of linguistic creolization can be analyzed considering historical, social, and economic movements. My current research adopts a multidisciplinary approach, encompassing linguistics, sociology, ethnography, history, and political science, aiming to deepen the investigation of linguistic phenomena based on the material conditions underlying their origins.

Over the past two decades, I have worked as a language and literature teacher, instructing students in language, literature, and essay writing across various educational levels, including preparatory courses, elementary, and high schools.

Since 2008, I have been involved in the publishing industry, starting as an intern. In this field, among other activities, I prepared the original manuscript of the American Psychological Association's Dictionary of Psychology (Vandenbos, 2010), reviewed Philosophy: The Big Questions (Bonjour and Baker, 2010), translated Overcoming Dyslexia, 2nd Ed. (Shaywitz and Shaywitz, 2023), and assisted in the production of the Brazilian edition of the British Medical Journal and Pátio Magazines.

Furthermore, I contribute to the Brazilian edition of Jacobin magazine, translating and writing articles on various topics, ranging from the ideas of thinkers like Baruch Spinoza, Rosa Luxemburg, and Mahdi Amel, to current issues such as the climate emergency.

I have also worked as a linguistic assessment expert for iMerit Technology, creating Portuguese content writing assessments, creating and transcreating assessment content, and developing prompt-response pairs for artificial intelligence assistants, collecting and analyzing data, developing reports, and implementing strategies to improve AI performance.

I believe my diverse professional and academic background uniquely qualifies me for language-related positions, ranging from editorial production to translation and editing services, as well as AI training and development.
